1. Introduction

Welcome to Loser Story. By accessing or using our mobile app, website, or related services ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old or the legal age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher, to use Loser Story.
  • By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this eligibility requirement.
  • We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to be in violation of this requirement, without prior notice.

3. Account Registration & Responsibilities

  • You must provide your full name, gender, and birth date during registration.
  • Your email is required for account creation, OTP login, and receiving updates.
  • Optional fields include profile image and phone number (which can be added later).
  • Security Questions: Minimum 1, up to 3 allowed.
  • You are solely responsible for all activity under your account. Report unauthorized access immediately.
  • You may delete your account at any time. All associated data will be permanently deleted after 14 days.

4. Content Posting

  • All content you submit (e.g., stories, comments, images) must comply with our community standards and all applicable laws.
  • Only one image is allowed per story. Content must not include nudity, violence, hate speech, illegal activity, or sensitive personal information (e.g. addresses, medical records, financial data).
  • We reserve the right to remove, edit, restrict, or moderate any content at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
  • Admins may take enforcement actions, including warnings, content takedown, or account bans.

5. Community Guidelines

  • Zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, threats, impersonation, bullying, or sexually explicit content.
  • Violations may lead to temporary or permanent account suspension.
  • Admins reserve full discretion to enforce rules and maintain platform safety.

6. Platform Interactions

  • Comment on stories (up to 3 per story).
  • Reply only to your own stories.
  • React using emotional sentiments.
  • Use Ditto 🪞 to mirror a comment you agree with.
  • Share stories externally using public app links.
  • Report inappropriate content or users directly from within the app.

7. Privacy & Data Handling

  • You control the visibility of your profile, photo, and other personal details through your settings.
  • We do not store government-issued IDs. If submitted for verification, they are auto-deleted after review.
  • Stories may be shared publicly using app-generated links. Please share responsibly.

8. Intellectual Property & Attribution

  • You must only upload content you own or have the right to share.
  • By submitting content, you grant Loser Story a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, share, and moderate your content across our platform.
  • We credit visual assets to unDraw, LottieFiles, and other similar royalty-free providers when used.

10. Global Legal Compliance

We comply with major global privacy regulations, including:

  • USA: California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
  • India: Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP 2023)

11. Hosting and Infrastructure

Loser Story is hosted on a secured VPS server managed by Hostinger in Phoenix, Arizona (USA). We use Firebase and Branch.io for backend services and deep linking. All data is handled with industry-standard encryption and safeguards.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Loser Story and its operators disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including incidental or consequential damages.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in Ontario courts, unless local laws require otherwise.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Major changes will be communicated through the app or email. Continued use of the platform implies your acceptance of the revised Terms.
